Brian’s extensive experience spans new build, masterplanning and complex refurbishment projects throughout the UK and Europe for a range of clients, including commercial developers, financial institutions and local authorities. With two postgraduate qualifications, a Diploma in Project Management from RICS and an MBA in Construction and Real Estate, Brian’s professional and academic expertise combine to provide a heightened understanding of the whole development process and the key decisions driving the design and delivery of projects.

Brian’s impressive portfolio includes the transformation of two BCSC Gold-winning projects, Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth and Old Market Shopping Centre in Hereford. He has also worked on large city centre regeneration projects including The Moor in Sheffield and Friars Walk in Newport along with County Square, Ashford and the redevelopment of Houndshill Shopping Centre in Blackpool.

In addition to retail and leisure schemes, Brian has expertise in the office, health, residential and conservation sectors. He has an excellent understanding of the logistics of construction and has developed strategies for minimising disruption to existing occupiers within live trading environments during refurbishment schemes.

He is currently leading the design teams on a number of large mixed use redevelopments of existing shopping destinations to reimagine the retail offer, whilst introducing complementary leisure and residential uses.

Brian joined Leslie Jones in 1997 as a fully qualified RIBA accredited architect. He became an Associate Director of the practice in 2001 and a Director in 2005, following the firm’s incorporation.

He is a keen sportsman and enjoys competing in triathlons.
