An ambitious masterplan to create the UK’s most sustainable neighbourhood.
|Size||2000 homes, 30,000m2 of commercial, leisure and community development|
|Client||Portsmouth City Council|
Our plans are for an inclusive new city centre neighbourhood that prioritises people, encourages biodiversity and promotes sustainable travel. As well as 1,750 new homes, there’s a mix of commercial, leisure and community uses.
Access to nature has never been more important for people’s physical and mental health, especially in a dense city like Portsmouth. At the heart of our plans is a beautiful, purposefully designed 2.5-hectare park that connects the new neighbourhood to existing communities through living streets, shared gardens, and plenty of places for play.
We’ve designed this well-connected district so that everything the community needs is within easy reach. Shops, schools, green spaces and work opportunities are just a short walk or a bike ride away. As a result, people will be more active, and air quality will improve due to the reduction in traffic. And most importantly, everyone will be happier and healthier.
“The goal is to make the project one of the UK's most sustainable city districts.”Brian Tracey, Director
