Leaders in Architecture MENA

Simon Scott, Head of International Business at Leslie Jones Architecture, was a panellist at this year’s Leaders in Architecture MENA 2016 in Dubai.

Simon was invited to speak at the event following Leslie Jones’ appointment by Dubai Airports to support the commercial design strategy for the future Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central (DWC). The practice’s commercial design strategy for the airport will ensure that premium space is effectively planned, and successful airport businesses will be ideally positioned to engage with high volumes of global travellers. During the panel discussion, Simon used his extensive cross-sector experience to address opportunities for commercial growth within transport environments across the region. Having joined Leslie Jones in 2014, Simon is leading the practice’s international expansion and current projects include Expobel in Minsk, another airport in South East Asia and a large-scale mixed-use urban regeneration development in North Africa.

Now in its 6th year, Leaders in Architecture MENA Summit is the largest platform dedicated to promoting and advancing the architecture industry across the Middle East and North Africa.
