Go-ahead in Worcester

Worcester City Council has granted unanimous approval to Salmon Harvester’s redevelopment of Cathedral Plaza in Worcester, designs by Leslie Jones Architecture.

The redevelopment of the 220,000 sq ft Cathedral Plaza shopping centre will create seven new restaurants, remodelled shops, a gym and foodstore. Works will also create a new public square in front of Cathedral Plaza in conjunction with the city and county councils. The project is expected to start early next year with shops and restaurants opening in spring 2016.

Brian Tracey, Managing Director at Leslie Jones commented: “Our approach ensures that Cathedral Plaza will remain relevant to its historical context, while bringing a modern shopping and dining destination to the city.”
