However, my journey took a transformative turn when I discovered Freehold, the premier networking hub for LGBTQ+ professionals and allies in the field.

Freehold isn’t just another networking group; it’s a dynamic community bursting with exclusive member-only events, mentorship opportunities, and unwavering support for professional development. Every 6 to 8 weeks, I eagerly anticipate our gatherings, knowing that each event promises enriching panel discussions and invaluable networking opportunities hosted by reputable companies like Landsec, Montagu Evans, The Crown Estate, Lendlease or Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, among others.

Attending Freehold events has been a game-changer for me. Not only have I expanded my professional network, but I’ve also gained valuable insights into industry trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities. The panels cover a diverse range of topics, from sustainable development to diversity and inclusion initiatives within the real estate sector, sparking thought-provoking discussions that challenge and inspire me.

What sets Freehold apart is its unwavering commitment to mentorship and support. Through engaging conversations with fellow members and industry leaders, I’ve received invaluable guidance and advice that has propelled my career forward. Whether it’s navigating challenging deals or seeking advice on career advancement, Freehold provides a safe and nurturing environment where I can openly discuss my experiences and aspirations.
I am immensely grateful for the leadership of co-chairs Kelly Canterford and Scott Parsons, whose dedication and vision have shaped Freehold into the thriving community it is today. Their passion for fostering inclusivity and empowerment shines through in every aspect of Freehold’s programming, creating a welcoming space where LGBTQ+ professionals can thrive.

In conclusion, my journey with Freehold has been nothing short of transformative. Through its vibrant community, enriching events, and unwavering support, I’ve found not just a networking group, but a family. Freehold is more than just a networking hub—it’s a catalyst for change, empowering LGBTQ+ professionals like myself to reach new heights of success in the UK real estate industry.
