Masterplanning for the retail and leisure aspect of one of London’s biggest development projects.
Greenwich Peninsula is one of the largest city centre development projects in the UK. The resulting scheme will provide London with a contemporary new district including homes, offices, schools, shops and community facilities.
Leslie Jones Architecture carried out a review of the initial Terry Farrell masterplan for the peninsula to gain a greater understanding of both local and corporate needs in order to inform an improved retail and leisure concept. Combined with Leslie Jones’ leading sector design expertise, the review brought a focus to this crucial part of the development and sought to create a vibrant retail destination for this new community.
Including the established O2, the Mayor’s cable car and emerging new leisure concepts, Leslie Jones’ recast materplan focused on delivery of a critical mass of retail and leisure at Greenwich Peninsula to create a more unified offer for this part of London.
