Mark joined Leslie Jones in 1997, after qualifying and working for retail practices
in his native South Africa. At Leslie Jones he was made an Associate in 2005 and
promoted to Associate Director in 2006.
Having worked through the various levels within the firm, Mark is now a senior member
of staff, responsible for delivering innovative design solutions to the latest challenges
posed by current planning policy guidance and the new urban agenda. Hands on throughout
the delivery of a project, Mark’s skills are underpinned by a well-rounded understanding
of retail delivery, whether for new build, refurbishment or asset management.
During his time at Leslie Jones, he has accumulated much experience in mixed-use
town centre architecture and retail-led regeneration masterplanning. He has been
involved with numerous projects at inception and feasibility stage, many being developed
through the initial concept, design development and planning processes.
In line with Leslie Jones’ management progression, Mark is completing an MBA in
Construction and Real Estate and is a member of the British Council of Shopping
Centres.
As well as trekking to the top of Kilimanjaro, Mark, a keen long distance runner,
has recently completed both the London and Madrid marathons. On top of these amazing
achievements, he is proud to announce the arrival of his first child Christian.
