Iain is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, joined MEPC plc (then the UK’s biggest international property company) in 1971 and was appointed to the MEPC Board in February 1988. He retired from MEPC in June 2003 following the completion of what was the largest property company ‘‘earn out’’ (£4.5bn sterling) in the UK at that time.

During his time at MEPC, Iain held various senior positions from Managing Director to Chairman across its national and international concerns.

In addition to Leslie Jones Architecture, Iain now spends his time working with other businesses such as REALM Ltd, an internationally active retail development and asset manager and Active Retail Fund, a specialist retail investor – where he acts as chairman in both roles.

He has been Chairman of the Westminster Property Association, President of the British Council of Shopping Centres, a member of the Council of Kings College London and of the European Advisory Board of the International Council of Shopping Centres.

Iain famously organizes and presents the annual LJA wine tasting event – sharing his extensive knowledge of the Bourgogne region of France and its complex wine varieties, with the viticulturally uneducated friends and clients of Leslie Jones. << PREVIOUS | NEXT >>
